Akshay Malhotra, Chess for Humanity Founder and CEO, is presented 2015 National Scholar Chess Player Award. The award program was established in 1980s, and five awards of $1,500.00 each in scholarship money are awarded annually by US Chess Trust and US Chess Federation to five selected scholars from a nation-wide pool of United States high school juniors and seniors, for their outstanding achievements and demonstrating excellence in community leadership, chess, and academics.
